As the second biggest state in the US, Texas has lots to see with the largest cities being Houston, San Antonio, Dallas and Austin. Austin is one of my favorite places to visit in Texas. Filled with lakes, swimming holes, barbecue and music... it's also known as the live music capital of the world!
And, if you're not a big city person, the Lone Star state also offers plenty of beaches, national and state parks and wide open spaces perfect for a long road trip.
